Well, I sure am glad that I’m taking the 16-hour route tonight than the 18-hour route from this morning. It’ll make travelling on a cramped bus just that much easier, and might even take my mind off the fact that if I had bothered to check for flights instead of assuming everything was expensive, I could’ve done this same journey in only an hour and a half for only $100 more.
Highlights of this fantastic bus voyage:
- no cell service (not even EDGE!) for most of the first nine hours of the journey
- layovers in marvellous destinations you’ve never heard of such as Nelson, Salmo, Creston, and Cranbrook
- 25 minutes for breakfast in Fort MacLeod (at 5 in the morning!)
Google Maps says it should only take 12 hours for this ridiculous route, but apparently buses are slow. Who would have guessed?
Anyway. I should go back to packing. See y’all tomorrow afternoon in Edmonton.
