Zoom Skedding to a Halt Part of the fabric that keeps the Gateway held together is the feature schedule. For most of the year, we have a plan for feature articles (one- or two-page in-depth stories, ranging from the serious to the less-so) for at least 13 upcoming issues. Often, these’ll get shifted around, replaced with something better, or fall through entirely, but at least we have a good idea of what’s to come. Of course, the best part of the year is when the gap comes up, as shown: after April 8, our publishing year ends, everybody celebrates, and good times all around. And then, in May, it starts up all over again, with a new set of editors. It’s neat how the student press works.
